I really believe that finding the right therapist for you is key to achieving the outcomes you desire (this is backed by science too). You need a therapist who really resonates with you, and it is important to me that we help you find that.
I offer a complimentary 20-minute conversation with every new client. This gives us the opportunity to connect—basically an interview to give you a chance to ask any questions you have about me and get an idea of my approach, vibe, and character. This can be either a phone or video call, whichever you prefer. No pressure—just an honest opportunity to connect and see if I feel like the right support for you.
From there, we can book in your first session. Once this is booked, I will send you intake forms, consent forms, and a questionnaire to give me a bit more background on you and your situation. Doing this allows for more time in session to get straight into our work together. It usually takes 3-4 sessions for therapy to take off as we get to know each other and determine our goals for you, and so that I can integrate my knowledge around the various approaches to suit your individual needs.
If you determine that I am not the right fit for you—that's okay! I have plenty of therapists that I can refer you to, and together we can see who you could be better suited to, or otherwise it gives us an opportunity to customise my approach to suit you.
